Howdy Howdy! Hello! Hola! ! It is so nice to meet you! I am a small town farmgirl from Iowa who moved to Cleveland in 1995. My DNA is filled with farmers, teachers, longevity, trailblazers and travelers.

I have been in the fitness industry since 1985, teaching group and individual exercise, cycling, and yoga classes throughout the Midwest and internationally. With a BSBA in marketing-management and a minor in athletic training from Missouri Southern Sate College and later undergrad and graduate coursework in advanced exercise physiology and psychology from Iowa State University, my education continues to be diverse in dance, martial arts, Pilates, yoga and massage therapy, as well as a variety of certifications and workshops by ACE, AFAA, AIFE and T.R.Y. for Life.  Since 2004 I have been and continue to study with Shiva Rea and her Prana Vinyasa teacher training.

We all have a purpose to serve, to give back, to pay it forward. I was honored to be selected as the first lululemon ambassador in Cleveland. Not only do they have a fantastic product line but they are all about community and bringing the community together. Through their vision and goal setting sessions, I discovered, was encouraged and also supported as I tapped into my core values. I volunteer locally for Girls with Sole as a coach and teach dance fitness to seniors at the Westside Community House. And globally, for 88 Bikes, endowing bicycles to girls who are either at risk or have been rescued from human trafficking.

And the gratitude. I am truly blessed. I am so lucky to have the family I do. I have learned and feel supported by each of them, from Gramps who at 104 passed away April 2020 to my dad who passed away in 1999, to the kids of my siblings and cousins. Each year during harvest I go home to our orchard, Center Grove Orchard,  in Iowa and have another title as Director of Fun. What does this job entail? I can't even call it a job, it's so much fun! I am taking care of the farm animals which includes emcee'ing pig races and goat yoga. I am recess patrolling jumping pillows, pedal karts, apple sling shots and mazes. I am life guarding the corn pool which includes acro-yoga sessions. I am making the most delicious apple cider donuts and taste testing the delicious items from our scratch bakery and other food venues. And I have a team of farm-tastic people to help.

And back to my life in CLE, more gratitude. Many thanks to my teachers, Shiva Rea, the late Sri K Pattabhi Jois, David Swenson and his wife Shelly, Twee Merrigan, Vista Guapa Surf Camp instructors both past and present, American Canoe Association's Steve Scherrer and the fabulous local teachers as I am humbled and inspired through each of your teachings. And to my students, I am truly touched to share the journey.  Love this Life! Live Your Inspired Life! ... Explore!  Enjoy!,
