The Deets:
Yoga is often defined as to yoke, to unite, even to connect. And the vinyasa yoga practice is one that connects one pose to another creating a fluid like dance. Now lets add another connection, one with the element of Water! The waters for this class will be on the Portage River at the Port Clinton location!
Stand up paddling (SUP) is the fastest, most popular growing sport in the world. Add the popularity of yoga and it will truly test your ability to be in the moment. This is often the goal of yoga, to be present and focused, completely on task. It's one thing to be in a yoga class on your yoga mat and have your mind wander off while in downward dog; but when your yoga mat becomes a paddle board, you may just fall in the water. That will bring you back to the moment!
We will start by getting grounded with a short lesson on the beach about the board, paddle and yoga then continue the bluemind experience with yoga on the Stand up Paddle (SuP) board. You may fall in, you may not. You decide if you want to test the waters, play your edge or play it safe.
What to wear and bring:
Clothes you are comfortable doing downward facing dog without falling out or riding up
Clothes you don't mind getting wet
Clothes/hat that provide sun protection and/or sunscreen
Towel and/or dry clothes for afterwards
Class size is limited. Call Amanda to register today! 419.707.2285
